In October, the Michael Houck Real Estate Team at Real Estate Leaders of Casper was named a leading real estate group for customer service by online real estate powerhouse Zillow. The recognition occurred at Zillow Group’s Premier Agent Forum in Las Vegas, Nev., where the Michael Houck team had the fifth-highest score among all real estate professionals for delivering an exceptional experience to home shoppers. The award was based on feedback from customers.
Whether online or in person, the Michael Houck team is dedicated to providing exemplary customer service. “We pride ourselves on always having an agent available,” Michael said, no matter the time or the day.
Buying a house is the biggest financial transaction most people will ever make, so it’s important for agents to conduct themselves in the highest ethical manner, Michael added. “We don’t view it as a transaction,” he said. “We view it as a relationship.”
Danielle Schoenwolf of Casper said that high level of customer care became immediately apparent when she and her husband started working with Michael to find a house. Michael’s primary concern was helping her family find a home that would suit its needs.
“I liked that he was really honest. He wasn’t out just to close a sale. If he thought a house wasn’t going to be a great fit, he let us know, even if we seemed super interested in it. He gave us the pros and cons, and let us weigh those, instead of trying to force us into a home just for a commission,” she said. “He helped us find a home that worked for our family.”
Michael also was very flexible and gladly worked around her and her husband’s schedules, Danielle added.
Even long distances don’t impede the Michael Houck Real Estate Team from providing excellent customer service. When Jerri Harris and her husband planned to move from Alaska to Casper, Michael provided the support they needed to find a new house that included ample outdoor space for their dogs.
“He was very accommodating,” Jerri said, and always kept in close contact throughout the shopping and buying process. The couple selected Michael’s team based on positive recommendations from family members who had worked with his team previously.
Michael and several of his associates have backgrounds in the restaurant business – another activity that prizes customer service.
“It’s having a servant’s heart and being able to make sure the glass is full and there’s bread before meal and all the rest,” he said. “That’s like real estate –checking with people, making sure their needs are being met.”
