CC’s RedStone Features Photography; Brazilian and French Music

The Casper College RedStone Recital and Gallery Series presents an evening of art and music on Saturday, Nov. 10, 2018.

Opening at 6:30 p.m., the Zahradnicek Gallery in the Music Building will feature an exhibition by Casper College alumnus, Casey Hanson, displaying her photographs titled “A Path to Find Her,” which she describes as a visual narrative showcasing the landscape of the West. Hanson will present an artist talk, and hors d’oeuvres will be served.

At 7:30 p.m. in the Casper College Wheeler Concert Hall, a recital featuring Brazilian and French music will be presented by Sara Lima, flute; Glêsse Collet, viola; and Theresa Bogard, piano. They will perform colorful duets and trios by composers Vasconcellos, Pitomberia, Blauth, Roussel, and Duruflé.

Bogard is a professor of piano at the University of Wyoming; Collet is from Brasília, Brazil, where she is a retired faculty from the University of Brasília, and currently resides and performs in the Rocky Mountain region; Lima resides in Goiânia, Brazil, where she serves as principal flutist of the Symphony Orchestra of Goiânia.

A reception will follow the recital. General admission tickets, are available online at www.caspercollegearts.edu for $10 for adults and $5 for students.
