The driver of a stalled semi tractor-trailor died after being struck by a passing pickup truck near Bill, Wyoming on early Thursday morning.
According to a release from the Wyoming Highway Patrol, a 2013 Ford F-350 truck was traveling north on Wyoming 59 when it approached the stalled semi.
The driver of the Ford then merged into the southbound lane to pass. The driver of the semi, who was unaware of the passing truck, exited the semi and walked into the path of the Ford.
The semi driver succumbed to injuries on the scene, according to the WHP. The victim’s name has not been released pending notification of family. The release does not mention any pending charges of the Ford’s driver.
According to the WHP, this is the 4th fatality on Wyoming’s highways of 2019.
