Officials are saying that equipment problems on a power pole are to blame for an outage that affected over two thousand people in the Casper area on Wednesday.
Officials with Rocky Mountain Power say that the initial outage began at 8:19 am, Wednesday morning, and left 2,691 total Casper area customers without power.
RMP says that they were able to begin to bring customers back on incrementally. By 9:35 am, only 1,907 people were affected.
Full restoration was said to have been achieved by 10:23 am.
Details regarding the specific problem with the equipment or its location were not immediately available. However RMP officials did confirm that the problem was associated with a power pole in the Southeastern portion of the city.
